Mark C. Samuel – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Mark C. Samuel is a fifth generation involved in the family business and has been involved in the business for over 20 years.
Mr. Samuel has worked for the Company since 1990 and has served on the Board since March 1993.
Mr. Samuel has held the position of President from 1994 to 2000; President and CEO from 2000 to 2004;
Vice-Chairman, President and CEO from April 2004 to 2006; Vice-Chairman and CEO from January 2006 to July 2007;
and, currently holds the position of Chairman and CEO.
In addition, Mr. Samuel is also Chairman of Samuel, Son & Co. Limited. Mr. Samuel is a graduate of Harvard University.
He is a member of the Canadian Equestrian Show Jumping Team and has represented Canada in four Nations’ Cups.
In 2002, he was a member of the Canadian World Equestrian Games (WEG) Team. |

Wayne K. Bassett – Vice-President
Mr. Bassett is a Chartered Accountant and President and Chief Executive Officer of Samuel, Son & Co., Limited. Mr. Bassett has served as a director of Samuel Manu-Tech since 1985. |

Kenneth W. Harrigan - Director
Mr. Harrigan has served on the Company’s Board since 1992. Mr. Harrigan is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ford Motor Company Canada, Limited. He has received the Order of Canada and is a proud recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal. |

Thomas H. Savage - Director
Mr. Savage is the past Chairman and President of ITT Canada Limited, and has served on a number of voluntary and charitable boards, including the Policy Committee of the Business Council on National Issues. He was named a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in June 1990. He has served as a director of Samuel Manu-Tech since 1994. |

Richard M. Balaz – President, Roll Form Group
Mr. Balaz began his career in the field of industrial electrical construction. In 1986 Mr. Balaz joined Samuel Son, & Co., Limited as an inside sales
representative, and was made Vice-President and General Manager of the Ontario Flat Rolled Processing Group of Samuel, Son & Co., Limited in 1999.
In 2003, he was promoted to the position of President, Samuel Plate Sales of Samuel Son, & Co., Limited.
He has served as a director of the Company since 2000. He was promoted to President of the Roll Form Group
effective January 1, 2007. |

John Morton – President and Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Morton worked in the strapping and packaging industry for 33 years and has successfully run operations in
Canada, the U.S.A. and Europe. He joined the Samuel organization in 1996 as Executive Vice-President for
the Samuel Strapping Systems Group and was promoted to President of the Group in 2001. Mr. Morton became
President and Chief Operating Officer of Samuel Manu-Tech in January of 2006. He was appointed director of the Company in 2007. |

Donald A. Pether – Director
Mr. Pether has served as Chairman on a number of boards, including being the former Chairman,
President and Chief Executive Officer of Dofasco Inc. He has participated in numerous steel
industry-related associations, including the Board of Directors of the Canadian Steel Producers
Association, the American Iron and Steel Institute, and the International Iron and Steel Institute.
He is also a former member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives.
He was appointed Director of Samuel Manu-Tech in 2007.

Neil H. Harris – Director
Mr. Harris is Goodman’s senior tax partner, specializing in Canadian and international tax matters.
He is recognized regularly in publications such as Chambers Global, Euromoney and LEXPERT as a result
of his transactional and advisory expertise. He has been a partner with the firm since 1977.
He has written and lectured extensively on domestic and international taxation issues for the
International Fiscal Association, the Canadian Tax Foundation and other Canadian and International
tax organizations. He has also lectured at the University of Western Ontario’s Faculty of Law
on advanced tax planning. He was appointed Director of Samuel Manu-Tech in February 2008.

Erich R. Almasy - Director
Erich Almasy is Director of Executive Education at the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University
an appointment he received after directing Executive Education for the Richard Ivey School of Business at
the University of Western Ontario. Previously, he was a strategy consultant for over thirty years and a partner
in firms such as the Boston Consulting Group and Mercer Management Consulting. He has worked with more than 250
companies and government organizations in over twenty countries.
He has been widely quoted by newspapers, magazines, and academic journals; spoken at forums and conferences;
and contributed articles to a wide range of business publications. He served two terms as a Trustee of the
United Way of Greater Toronto and is a former Trustee of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation.
He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Opera Company, Oakville Arts Council,
and Harvard Business School Association of Ontario. He was appointed Director of Samuel Manu-Tech in April 2008. |
